Autism Awareness - An Introduction

Course description

This course provides a gentle introduction to autistic spectrum conditions, covering key areas of knowledge and starting to explore important themes such as individuality, communication, behaviour and person centred support in respect of children, young people and adults on the autistic spectrum. It is suitable for individuals with very limited prior knowledge of the condition including parents, relatives and those with a caring responsibility e.g. school staff and Teaching Assistants who will find this knoweldge useful in the workplace.

Qualification details

This course does not lead to a qualification.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. We welcome anyone with an interest in gaining greater awareness of autistic spectrum conditions.

Assessment details

There are no tests, assignments or exams.
