Family Learning in Wiltshire is fun and free!

family-learning-logo-x300In Wiltshire, Family Learning is part of a community programme delivered by the local authority. We run FREE workshops, courses and events in schools, early years’ settings and community venues to encourage families to love learning together. Free childcare may be available. These Family Learning courses are intended for less confident learners (below level 2).

Our mission here in Wiltshire is to help children, young people and adults reach the highest possible standards of health, development and educational achievement by supporting them in their families, schools and communities.

Family Learning is right for you if you want to...

  • Learn how to support your children with their school work.
  • Discover how your children learn and develop.
  • Improve your English and/or refresh your maths skills.
  • Gain qualifications and skills in order to return to the workplace.

The Campaign for Learning has produced a great handy guide with tactics and examples for how you can help your children learn, reflect, remember, find new ways of doing things... and much more. This guide is a must-read for every parent. Have fun with with it!
